Who we are

Hexagon Metrology PowerTrain Solutions is a team of 35 technicians and engineeers with a total of more than 500 years experience in coordinate metrology.

We are based in the town of Wetzlar on the river Lahn in the heart of Germany, well known in the field of precision mechanics and optics.

Hexagon Metrology PowerTrain Solutions was founded as Messtechnik Wetzlar by members of the software development, application and systems departments of Leitz Meßtechnik, now a Hexagon Metrology company. Leitz Meßtechnik was a former business unit of Ernst Leitz Wetzlar GmbH, known worldwide for their Leica cameras and microscopes.
